FIFA will Lose Messi for a Long Time

Betrayal, envy, spite are all words we could think of to label the Argentine G.O.A.T. If you were sipping a cocktail on the beach, or skydiving, heck, maybe taking a trip to Mars, you might have missed that Messi and Barcelona will not be in FIFA 17. It is a pity, but you can buy fifa 17 coins for your other players as well.

Ok, that was just a knee jerker. But, what’s true is, Messi is no longer the cover star for FIFA, that coveted title belongs to Marco Reus for FIFA 17. On the other hand, Konami, publishers of the annual football video game, has unveiled the Catalan club as its official partner ahead of its release later this year.

We now understand, Barcelona attacking stars Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez will feature on the PES 2017 front cover.

Komani, the publisher of the annual football video game, which has somewhat fallen under FIFA’s shadow in the past decade, has unveiled the Primera Division champions as an official partner ahead of the title’s release later this year.

Messi has featured on the front cover of FIFA games for the past four years, but the official partnership looks to have coerced an allegiance switch, while Neymar starred solo on PES 2016 cover.

Below are the front covers on Xbox One and Playstation 4 for PES 2017, which is set to be released on Sept. 15, 2016.
